Remodel of Living Room and Hall Still a work in Progress

 Furniture by Ashley

 Rugs at Lowes

My husband designed, cut and installed all the custom trim

I love Rocks so I incorporated them into the design

Old World Style Painting Technique I tried looked very professional. Love my Lions that I found on Ebay-made to order.

Hand Painted Dresser using Martha Metallics at Home Depot as well as the stencil pattern

 Tuscan Themed

Front door to left was stripped and oiled a natural color similar to the built in cabinets on right that my husband designed and had built by a cabinet company.

1st attempt at Pan Pizza

For Rosebud…

Reality hurts, is it just a perspective?
Dreams shattered, are they just an illusion…
Pain and suffering, do we have to bear them?
Are we really in charge of our own future,
Or does life dictate who we become…

Freedom to think what we want is a gift,
How do we choose to use this genius?
Life is here for us, bliss and enchantment await
How do we attract and capture the precious,
Leaving the ugly behind…

Choose…

BLACK HEART- a poem

Stress, a heavy burden
Weighed down with cares of this age
Living to die, hoping…
What is tomorrow?
More of the same, disgusted
Black heart, cold fatness
Holding back tears, crimson face
Wanting to escape, but where
Hiding ugly words, pretending
Not at home, anymore
Fading.

Living A Dream

I had the Opportunity of a lifetime last Oct 2009. I had the priviledge of visiting a non working silver mine courtesy of a good friend and Mohave Underground. It was named after one of King Solomons mines and was in operation in 1870. It is located in Ophir, Utah. Ophir is mostly a ghost town now, however there are still a few residents. It's worth the trip up the canyon to Ophir just for the scenery. The mine is privately owned so special permission is required, plus it's locked. With our Guide-Jeff, who is a member of Mohave Underground, I spent 3 hours in heaven. The pics speak for themselves.
